“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.” ― Albert Einstein
This quote by Albert Einstein is part of Pustakwale’s bookmark. And the key part of this quote in current situation is not about reading but imagining. We all are reading more through various other mediums like social media, Articles, Books, Screens. The gap observed is between reading and digesting. We are bombarded with information, and we aren’t giving enough time for our brain and mind to process what we have been consuming.
Thus, through Pustakwale our primary cause is to take Physical books at doorstep and create a Book shopping experience, Digital Detox, our core objective is to trigger the thoughts in the mind and brain. For that keeping aside the distraction is the key. The iconic image of Kindle where a boy is sitting next to the pond gets disturbed when someone throws a stone in the pond creating ripples. That’s precisely what screens and social media do to our mind. We get ripples throughout, and our system tries to react to it leaving is exhausted.
Thus, books provide an alternative which cuts off the noise and gives a space to create your own world. Especially in the age of AI asking the right questions is important and for that we need to cultivate the minds so that they can think fundamentally, imagine wildly and look beyond the obvious.
