Terms & Conditions (T&C) for ScreenDetox App

Effective Date: September 22, 2025


These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the ScreenDetox mobile application (“App”) and related services provided by ScreenDetox (screendetox.in). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and discontinue use.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use ScreenDetox independently.
  • Users under 18 may use the App only under parental consent and supervision.
  • By using the App, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement under Indian law.

2. Account Registration

  • To access certain features, you may need to create an account using your email or phone number.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it updated.

3. App Usage and Restrictions

You agree to use ScreenDetox only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

  • Use the App in a manner that violates any law, regulation, or third-party rights.
  • Attempt to copy, reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App or its code.
  • Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others.
  • Circumvent parental control features or misuse child monitoring functionalities.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Permissions and Data Access

  • The App may request access to device information, App usage statistics, network access, and storage for functionality.
  • By granting these permissions, you allow us to provide screen time tracking, wellbeing analytics, and parental control features.
  • Data collection and processing are governed by our Privacy Policy in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

5. Subscription and Payments

  • ScreenDetox may offer free features as well as premium subscription plans.
  • Subscription fees (if applicable) are displayed within the App or on our website.
  • Payments are processed through secure third-party gateways (e.g., Google Play Store / Apple App Store).
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All content in the App, including trademarks, logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of ScreenDetox (Anveshak Technology and Knowledge Solutions LLP) or its licensors.
  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

  • The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  • We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
  • ScreenDetox is intended as a digital wellbeing tool, not as a substitute for medical, psychological, or legal advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScreenDetox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
  • Our total liability to you, for any cause, will not exceed the amount paid (if any) for the subscription in the last 12 months.

9. Termination

  • You may stop using the App at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.
  • Upon termination, your rights to use the App will immediately cease, but certain obligations (e.g., payment, intellectual property, limitations of liability) will survive.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India.
  • Before approaching courts, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably through negotiation.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be notified through the App or website. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
